Welcome back!
Science this week is still under way through the Waste and Our World Inquiry groups! We watched the end of the documentary "Inconvenient Truths" which we started before fall break. We realized the more we learn the more questions we have. As you can see from our exploration in math below, connections are being made in all that we are studying. Stay tuned to what your son/daughters projects will be!
This week in Math students in 4.1/4.3 met up with their Mount Royal University student teachers and delved into how climate and weather have changed over the last 10 years. All classes took a look at how weather patterns changed and made predictions about the future. Some of the patterns that were noticed were things like:
- temperatures increased over the 10 years
- more significant fluctuations from the highest to lowest temperatures
- that things like the invention of computer, cars, and electricity affected the climate over the last 150 years (1850-2000).
The weekly POW went home on Wednesday and will be due back next Wednesday. Check out the POW below if your interested in seeing how Time and Hockey have been connected!
