Fourth graders have continued to develop very impressive folk songs and work with their fellow classmates to gather feedback this week. Students were asked to give peer feedback to 2 groups in their class, while receiving feedback on their work as well. The questions asked ranged from the attention paid to structure and the inclusion of historical facts, to whether or not peers could understand the event and perspectives communicated in each song. As well, our music specialist, Mr. Bolen, spent some time with each class to teach some tips and tricks on Garageband that will help with the recording and production of the songs. We are hopeful that folk songs will be composed, rehearsed and recorded to share in the week following our Southern Alberta History Tour.
In preparation for each pods trip next week, we ask that students and parents re-read the itinerary and packing lists over the weekend. These documents can be found on this site under "links and important docs". The 4.1/4.2 pod will be leaving at 9AM sharp on Tuesday, June 3rd, while our 4.3/4.4 pod will depart at 9AM sharp on Wednesday, June 4th. If you have any questions regarding the trip, please contact your child's homeroom teacher before Monday evening.

Track and Field Day
On Monday, June 2, the grade 4-6 students will spend the morning engaged in track and field activities. The majority of the activities will take place outside in our school field. Please remind your child to wear appropriate "sporty" clothing and footwear so they may participate in the event.
