This was a short but busy week in Math & Science. Students were introduced to some Leaf Ninjas on Wednesday where they learned about Urban Gardening and how to stop just growing 'grass'! Questions were raised about where to garden, why to garden and how to garden and this lead to our own Community Garden. Through their senses of sight and smell students explore the plots at the Lakeview Community Garden and identified many of the vegetables, herbs and flowers growing there. "What time is it Mr. Wolf?" cried the students
"16:45!" replied the wolves.
Students explored the 24hr clock using a game that is well known to most. Minds were blown and people were "eaten for lunch"! It was a unique way to start thinking about what 18:30 actually meant.
Weaslehead, although wet, was a great introduction to many of the wide games they will be playing at Camp Sweet!
