This week in Humanities, fourth graders were active in their inquiries into Alberta's resources and industries. All groups now have a Google doc in use to add information to and aid in planning. This document has also been shared with their Humanities teacher. We are still seeking professionals to be available for contact by fourth graders in the new year. Our focus in the next week is to wrap up this first part of the unit before our winter break. Students have also been involved in Readers and Writers Workshops, some including winter poems. We have also had our first few weeks of "Star of the Week" presented in Humanities classes. All presentations have been quite clever and unique. Please refer to the lists posted on the site to ensure you are aware of when your son or daughter will be presenting.
Grade fours in the 4.2 homeroom have finally uploaded their SLP videos to Edmodo for parents to view; your feedback is welcomed.
Next week proves to be a busy one, with Peace Festival activities, assignments being finished, classroom clean up and our own grade 4 holiday celebration. Among those activities is Sock Stuffing for the Mustard Seed. Please note that the date for donations of clean socks, new toothpaste and new toothbrushes has been changed to Monday, December 16th.
Enjoy your weekend! Stay Warm!
