In addition to our visit from our Minister of Education and Science Fair festivities, fourth graders were hard at work this week. First sharing their Social Studies Presentations with opposite pod groups, then putting their finishing touches on their Prezis, iMovies, Keynotes and more!
Presentations started on Wednesday and all of our grade four students were very confident while sharing their knowledge of Alberta's natural resources and industries. We are currently in the process of conferencing with students and developing a finalized rubric for each group. These rubrics were shared with students ahead of time and ask about each portion of the Presentation process (Researching, Sorting Information, Taking Notes, Asking Questions, Developing a medium to present with etc.)
We will be taking a break form Social Studies in our next two, very short, three day weeks. Our focus will be primarily on Reading, Writing and Spelling, before introducing our new "Artifact" unit for Social Studies.
Please ask your child to log onto Edmodo or use their iPad to share their project with you!
